(Logan. A little story to go with the picture.)
You stand on your and Logan’s front porch. You’re absolutely devastated. The guys are leaving for a cross country tour, and you have to stay home. Only 17 stops, but it’s tearing you apart.
“Baby, it won’t be long. I promise.” He whispers as he pulls you closer to him, and lands a soft kiss in top of your head.
“But, I’m going to be so alone. My best friend is leaving for college, and my husband is going on tour.”
“Beautiful, please. Calm down. You’re going to make yourself sick. And we don’t want that. It wouldn’t be healthy for your extra passenger.” His hand slides to your abdomen. He smiles, and stops his hand over your 4 month sized baby bump. He’s so excited that he’s to be a father.
“I know, but she wants Daddy to be home too.” He’s not quite sure how to respond, so he pulls you even closer, and the two of you stand with no space between each other. Every time he breathes in, you feel it against your chest. There’s no music, but he sways you gently.
Your crying persists, but not as hard. Then, it’s heard. The horn honking as it pulls up your driveway. One more close, lasting hug. In that time of the hug, the baby began to kick. You felt his smile as he kissed you, but you also felt a tear. The honking horn doesn’t stop, so he picks up his bag that was waiting by the door.
He walks down the front steps, then turns around. You walk closer to him. He pulls you by the waist, and he kisses your baby bump.
“Be good for Daddy. I’ll be back sooner than you think.” Then he gives you another kiss, and jumps in the car. As the car drives away he rolls the window down, barely leans out, and gives you a beautiful, unforgettable smile.
